The Photo Course consists of four classroom sessions and one final hands-on photo shoot. Each week you will expand your experience as there will be shooting assignments to practice what you’ve learned.
Week1: DSLR Camera Basics 101
Learn the basics features of your DSLR camera. We'll cover the automatic mode and what effects the various scene modes will have on our photos. You will come away with an understanding of the menus, how to get the best results from your built-in flash and which accessories and lenses will help you get fantastic shots you'll want to frame.
Week 2, 3 & 4: Fundamentals of Photography - 3 Session Class
Understanding exposure and composition is the key to great photos. In this class you'll learn how to control background sharpness, stop action or create a feeling of motion by using the right lens & adjusting f/stops & shutter speeds. We'll explain how to make outstanding images by "seeing" a great shot. We will also make sense of the manual mode.
Week 5: Hands-on Shoot
We've talked about it, now it's time to practice what you've learned. In this session, we will practice what we covered in the last 4 weeks. Bring your camera, lenses, batteries, memory cards and any other accessories. Most photography questions arise while shooting, there is no better place to get them answered than this shoot.
