Art’s Gives Back
As one of only a few camera stores in the entire Midwest to not only survive the online shopping revolution, but to continue to thrive, Art’s Cameras Plus is all about gratitude. We know how fortunate we are to have made the right changes at the right time, and are grateful to every customer whose loyalty and love of photography has helped us succeed. We know we would not still be in business—50 years later—if we only focused on business. That’s why we believe so strongly in giving back and getting involved with people and programs in our community. Here are just a few ways Art’s is making a difference:
Equipment donations—we support creativity and the next generation of photographers by donating or loaning cameras to schools and youth art programs like the one at “City of Light Christian Church.”
Education and classes—Art’s FOCUS Group welcomes young photographers, offering special programs for them in store, and often at no charge.
Support for cancer awareness—in memory of his brother Steve, owner Tony Miresse supports local efforts for pancreatic cancer research. Art’s has also hosted “Girls Night Out” events, with proceeds donated to promote breast cancer awareness.
Celebrating local talent—every weekday on WTMJ-4’s Morning Blend, Art’s underwrites the “Picture of the Day,” featuring great shots from area photographers.
When you choose to shop at Art’s instead of big, out-of-state online retailers, you’re also giving back to the community. A portion of your purchases ultimately supports the programs above, plus you’re buying local and keeping tax dollars in Wisconsin, where we all benefit from better schools, roads, parks, police protection, and so much more.
Art’s Looks Forward
In addition to the special efforts we make to help friends and neighbors in need, the team here gives their best every day to help customers get the most value and enjoyment for their money. Professional help and honest advice are great gifts—ones we’re happy to share all year long. We hope your holidays were filled with joy, and that your 2018 will be picture-perfect!
